When it comes to grading an assignment, you may choose not to count the score on an assignment. You can do this through either the “Rubric Score” or “Quick Score” option.
Select “Submit With No Score” through the Rubric Score:
- Navigate to the “Classes” tab located on the top menu.
- Select the class to which your lesson is assigned.
- Once in your class, select the assignment you wish to not count the score of.
- Find the relevant student’s name in the list of assignments.
- Click the blue “Give Feedback” link in that student’s row.
- Select “Rubric Score”
- You will be taken to the Rubric Score grading page. At the top right of the screen, select "Return to Student" and check the box next to “Submit without Score.” Alternatively, you can also go to the "Confirm" step of the rubric and Submit without Score while adding comments.
- Your student’s assignment will be marked as receiving no score.
Select “No Grade” through the Quick Score:
- Navigate to the “Classes” tab located on the top menu.
- Select the class to which your lesson is assigned.
- Once in your class, select the assignment you wish to not count the score of.
- Find the relevant student’s name in the list of assignments.
- Click the blue “Give Feedback” link in that student’s row.
- Select “Quick Score.”
- Choose a 4-point or 5-point rubric.
- You will be taken to the Quick Score grading page. Select “No Grade” on the bottom left of the grading window.
- The assignment will be returned to the student and the score will not be counted.
- You can return to your other students’ assignments by selecting the link in the top left corner, “Back to Assignment.”
