Hello Partners, follow these steps to submit a student’s writing lesson without a score. This feature can be used for an incomplete assignment to remove it from the student’s “Current Assignment” list or for an assignment in which the teacher does not want to score a response. Submitting without a score closes an assignment for a student and eliminates the ability to score the writing.
- Navigate to the “Classes” page.
- Select the class in which the lesson is assigned.
- Select the desired assignment.
- Find the relevant student’s name in the assignment list.
- *For the “In Progress” and “Not Started” statuses, you must first select the gear icon and choose “Mark as Submitted.”
- Click the blue “Give Feedback” link in the student row.
- Select either “Rubric Score” or “Quick Score.”
- At the top right of the grading page, select "Return to Student" and select “Submit without Score.” In “Rubric Score”, teachers can also go to the “Overall” tab and “Submit without Score” after including feedback or comments.
