Grade & Give Feedback on Writing Benchmarks
Hello Partners, follow these steps to grade and provide feedback on writing using Rubric Score.
- Navigate to the Classes page.
- Select the blue “Needs Feedback” icon from the progress bar on a class tile or select “View Class Planner” and select the icon from your assignment list.
- Select the “Give Feedback” option from the “Writing” column.
- Select the "Rubric Score" to see students' written responses.
- To review students' multiple-choice answers (which have been automatically graded), click on the score to the right of each student's name.
- Scoring will open to the selected student’s response. Navigate to other students by selecting the student name dropdown from the top or selecting the “Next Student” arrow below the writing.
- To view student responses in the context of the original assignment, select "View Student's Full Work" by clicking on the 3 dots to the right of the student writing.
- Comment directly on the student’s writing by doubleclicking a word or highlighting a selection. Type your comment in the box and select “Save.”
- Expand the rubric by selecting the carrot to the left of “Rubric.”
- Select the comment icon below the selected score for this category, type your feedback, and select “Comment & Continue” to move to the next category. Select “More” to view the full criteria for a category score.
- You may also simply select the score tile to move on without providing any feedback for that category.
- Once done selecting the rubric category scores, you will land on the Overall tab. Here, you can provide students with overall feedback for their work and select a Growth Focus for the student from the dropdown.
- Hover over the plagiarism detector to see the likelihood of human writing.
- Click "Submit with Score" or "Return for Revision" if you would like the student to continue working a resubmit.
- Teachers can also “Submit without Score” for any students who did not complete or completed outside of the platform. This will remove the assignment from the students “Current Assignments” list.
